Spirit of Welcoming
Hospitality is a primary attribute of the folks at Petty’s Chapel. We pride ourselves in showing our welcoming spirit and openness to all who come in contact with us. We strive to reach out to and receive you as an honored guest. This is our offering of friendship.

Belonging
Belonging has to do with believing. We feel that membership in our congregation is a little more than just being on a list or church roll. Real belonging involves being related to God and nurtured in the faith with the goal of discovering your place in the body of believers. Belonging implies a beginning of a journey into discipleship.

Caring and Sharing
Formation in the Christian faith is relational not only because God is relational with us, but also because we come to faith through significant interpersonal relationships. It is through our interactions of sharing and caring with others – who are also on a Christian journey – we receive spiritual growth.

Family
As a faith-sharing congregation we invite and call forth families and households to share in the understanding of what it means to live together as people of God. Come join us in growing a relationship with God and working towards God’s will being done on earth.

Transformation and Healing
In order to experience transformation and healing, persons must first experience a place where they can take off their masks and begin to tear down their own walls. When you are with family, you can trust that one does not need to pretend to be someone else. You can trust that one can share weaknesses and strengths and be accepted by the faith community.
